Earlier this week, Keke Palmer was in Atlanta, Georgia. The multi-hyphenate was promoting her new project “One of Them Days.” For the appearance, Palmer turned into the lady in red with a chic ensemble.
Having put her hair back in a discrete bun, save for a bang, she wore a vintage one-shoulder John Galliano fall 2002 red dress. The midi dress was fitted to the torso and hung loose toward the bottom.
For shoes, working with stylist Zoe Costello, Palmer also chose red. She wore Christian Louboutin’s Condora Strap heel. The shoe is made of patent leather. It features a sharply pointed toe, crafted to resemble a bird’s beak. The vamp is rounded and low-cut, providing toe cleavage on most feet. The shoe is a sort of slingback design. In addition, the sandal includes an ankle strap that features a silver buckle.
The heel of the shoe is bevelled and almost four inches. To finish, the sole of the shoe is also red, which is a signature throughout Louboutin designs.
The Condora series got quite a bit of play last fall on red carpets. The Condora Riviera, which has a T-strap in place of the slingback strap on Palmer’s shoe, was worn by Demi More in October to the Hamptons International Film Festival. Styled by Brad Goreski, that look was another monochromatic number featuring the shoes in black suede. (She had worn it prior to a celebration of the Goldie Hawn Foundation in Beverly Hills and later wore it to the premiere of “Landman.”) In October, Nicole Kidman tried on the Condora Strap in white leather to the premiere of “Lioness” season two.
Only days ago, Cailee Spaeny was spotted in a more fanciful take on the Condora at W Magazine’s Golden Globes pre-party. She wore the Louboutin Condora Queen Plume sandal. While that silhouette includes the same beveled heel as each other Condora and the slingback from the Condora Strap, it features an open-toe with a rounded sole, typical of the Condora Sandal. In addition, its name comes from feather embellishment seen coming off the back of the heel which has been treated with shimmering strass. The features, like the toe box, are inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock movie “Birds.”
